MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
volleyball team was defeated 3-2 by the Maranatha Baptist Bible
College Crusaders on Friday night at the Recreation Complex.
After dropping the first two games of the match 30-27 and 30-24,
the Warriors fought back to win games three and four 30-21 and
30-26, sending the match to the decisive fifth game where the
Crusaders won 15-11.
Erika Laete (Spokane, Wash./Evergreen Lutheran) paced WLC
offensively with a match-high 15 kills for a .314 hitting
percentage. Nicole Feldschneider (Jefferson, Wis./Jefferson) had a
double-double with 12 kills and 18 digs. Ashley Madsen (Watertown,
Wis./Luther Preparatory) finished with 24 assists.
Maranatha (12-12, 5-6 NAC) was led by Joelle Isaacs'
double-double as she recorded 12 kills and 25 digs.
The Warriors honored their lone senior on the roster, Rachel
Hermanson (Antioch, Ill./Shoreland Lutheran), before the match as
she played in her final regular season home match for the forest
green and white.
Wisconsin Lutheran (8-17, 4-7 NAC) closes out the conference
portion of its regular season schedule on Wednesday when it travels
to Lisle, Ill., for a match against Benedictine University.
