Warriors round-out NAC play with loss at Benedictine

LISLE, Ill. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College volleyball team fell to Benedictine University 3-0 on Wednesday night, closing out the Northern Athletics Conference portion of its schedule for 2007.

The Warriors were swept in three games by the Eagles 30-18, 30-17 and 30-19. Rachel Hermanson (Antioch, Ill./Shoreland Lutheran) led WLC offensively with eight kills. Jamie Matz (Hortonville, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) had 10 assists and Jaclyn Sack (Granger, Ind./Michigan Lutheran) finished with 15 digs.

Benedictine (23-4, 9-3 NAC) was led by Kayla Leyden's double-double as she recorded 12 kills and 18 digs.

Wisconsin Lutheran (8-18, 4-8 NAC) concludes its 2007 season on Saturday with a non-conference match at UW-La Crosse at 2 p.m.
