MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
volleyball team dropped a pair of tough matches on Friday night as
they opened their 2007 season playing host to North Park and
Carroll at the Warrior Invitational.
Wisconsin Lutheran faced off against the Vikings of North Park
University in the first match of the night. The Warriors and
Vikings battled all the way to the fifth game, but North Park came
away in five, 3-2. (26-30, 30-22, 27-30, 30-19, 15-13)
In their second match of the night, WLC took on the Pioneers of
Carroll College. Similar to their first match of the night, the
Warriors and Pioneers went to a decisive fifth game. With WLC
leading two games to one, Carroll came back and won two straight
games for a 3-2 win. (30-27, 25-30, 26-30, 36-34, 15-7)
Wisconsin Lutheran (0-2) will take on North Central (Ill.) at 10
a.m. and Lawrence at 2 p.m. on Saturday in its final two games of
the Warrior Invite. Complete stats for all games will be posted
Saturday evening.
