Warriors rally past Marian, improve to 2-0 in NAC

MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College volleyball team battled back after trailing 2-1 to win in five games 3-2 over Marian College on Thursday night, improving its record to 2-0 in the Northern Athletics Conference.

The Warriors, who won in five games for the second consecutive match, won in thrilling fashion by scores of 26-30, 30-17, 22-30, 30-28 and 15-11. Megan Sankey led three players in double-digit kills with 19. She also registered 11 digs.

Nicole Feldschneider and Rachel Hermanson added 14 and 12 kills, respectively. Ashley Madsen led WLC with a match-high 28 assists, while Jaclyn Sack tallied 22 digs.

Marian (2-9, 0-1 NAC) was led by Heather Alft's 14 kills.

Wisconsin Lutheran (3-7, 2-0 NAC) will be back in action on Wednesday, September 19, when they travel to Aurora, Ill., for a conference showdown with the Spartans beginning at 7 p.m.
