AURORA, Ill. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
women's tennis team defeated Aurora University 6-3 in a Northern
Athletics Conference match on Thursday afternoon.
Kara Spiegelhoff (Union Grove, Wis./Union Grove) began action at
No. 1 singles by defeating Siri Nelson 7-5, 6-3. At No. 4 singles,
Hannah Tullberg (Milwaukee, Wis./Luther Preparatory) won 6-1, 6-4
over Erin Anthony. Alycia Spriggs (Slinger, Wis./Luther
Preparatory) was a 7-5, 3-6, 10-6 winner over Courtney Ksioszk at
No. 5 singles. Tanya Droster (Watertown, Wis./Luther Preparatory)
defeated Beth Okrie 6-1, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.
In doubles play, Spiegelhoff teamed with Rachel Wendt (Neenah,
Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) at No. 1 for an 8-6 win over Siri Nelson
and Jalitza Colon. At No. 3, Spriggs paired up with Shannon Censky
(Germantown, Wis./Germantown) to top Beth Okrie and Courtney
Ksioszk 8-6.
Wisconsin Lutheran (5-5, 5-3) will be back in action again on
Saturday when it hosts Edgewood College at 10 a.m. at the Princeton
Club. Following their first match, the Warriors will travel to MSOE
for a rescheduled match from earlier this week at 2 p.m.
