MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
volleyball team was swept 3-0 by the MSOE Raiders in a Northern
Athletics Conference match on Friday night at the Recreation
Complex.
Wisconsin Lutheran, which did not have a player tally no more
than five kills in the match, fell to the Raiders by scores of
30-24, 30-25 and 30-22. Jamie Matz (Hortonville, Wis./Fox Valley
Lutheran) and Ashley Madsen (Watertown, Wis./Luther Preparatory)
dished out 11 and 10 assists, respectively.
Erica Laete (Spokane, Wash./Evergreen Lutheran) recorded three
solo blocks in the contest. Nicole Feldschneider (Jefferson,
Wis./Jefferson) and Jaclyn Sack (Granger, Ind./Michigan Lutheran)
each had nine digs defensively.
MSOE (6-7, 3-1 NAC) was led offensively by Allie Sowniski's 12
kills.
Wisconsin Lutheran (3-12, 2-3) will be back in action on
tomorrow when it travels to Alverno College for a 12 p.m. NAC
showdown with the Inferno.
