Warriors get back on track with sweep over Alverno

MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College volleyball team collected a 3-0 sweep over Alverno College in a Northern Athletics Conference match on Saturday afternoon at Alverno.

Wisconsin Lutheran won the three games match by scores of 30-16, 30-27 and 30-27. Five Warriors tallied at least seven kills each to lead the offensive attack. Jamie Matz (Hortonville, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) and Ashley Madsen (Watertown, Wis./Luther Preparatory) recorded 17 and 16 assists, respectively for WLC.

Jaclyn Sack (Granger, Ind./Michigan Lutheran) registered nine digs, while Erica Laete (Spokane, Wash./Evergreen Lutheran) tallied three solo blocks.

Rebecca Schmid led Alverno (2-15, 0-4 NAC) will 10 kills.

Wisconsin Lutheran (4-12, 3-3 NAC) will be back in action on Tuesday when the Warriors travel to Dominican University for a NAC match beginning at 7 p.m.
