BELOIT, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
women's tennis team closed out its regular season schedule on
Sunday by falling to Beloit College 8-1 and later dropping a 7-2
match to the Loras College Duhawks.
In Wisconsin Lutheran's 8-1 opening match loss to Beloit, Hannah
Tullberg (Milwaukee, Wis./Luther Preparatory) and Tanya Droster
(Watertown, Wis./Luther Preparatory) picked up the Warriors lone
win at No. 2 doubles with an 8-5 win over Sidra Montgomery and
Laura Grogan.
In WLC's 7-2 loss to Loras, Tullberg won at No. 4 singles by
defeating Molly Hepworth 6-3, 7-6. Kara Spiegelhoff (Union Grove,
Wis./Union Grove) teamed up with Rachel Wendt (Neenah, Wis./Fox
Valley Lutheran) at No. 1 doubles to earn an 8-5 win over Alisha
Espey and Lindsay Dunkirk.
Wisconsin Lutheran (6-8, 6-4 NAC) will have some time off before
it competes in the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament on Oct.
6 and 7 at the Nielson Tennis Stadium in Madison.
