ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's basketball team concluded its string of nine-straight road games by defeating the Rockford College Regents 96-87 on Monday night in a Northern Athletics Conference game at Seaver Gymnasium.

Christian Lindberg (Horsens, Denmark) shot 4 of 6 from three-point range and scored 23 points to lead four starters in double figures. Danny Behm (Jackson, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) and Marcus Zondag (Randolph, Wis./Randolph) finished with 18 points each, while Kyle Plath (Lake Geneva, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) finished with 11. Zondag also added 11 rebounds.

Wisconsin Lutheran, who led from the opening tip until the final horn sounded, led by as many as 14 points in the first half before heading into the halftime with a 50-42 lead.

The Warriors shot 62.5 percent (20-32) in the second half and built their lead up to 19 points before Rockford managed to cut the deficit to five points (86-81) in the closing minutes. Zondag countered with a key three-pointer on the Warriors' next possession to build the lead back up to nine points as the Regents would get no closer.

WLC shot 55.1 percent (38-69) from the field for the game, while Rockford shot 50.8 percent (32-63). Wisconsin Lutheran held a 38-31 advantage on the glass, but turned the ball over an uncharacteristic 16 times.

Rockford (0-17, 0-10 NAC), who made only 10 of 20 free-throw attempts, was led in scoring by Renell Taylor's game-high 28 points.

Wisconsin Lutheran (11-4, 5-3 NAC) returns home to the Recreation Complex on Wednesday playing host to Benedictine University in a NAC showdown at 7 p.m., marking the first time since December 8 that the Warriors will play on their home court.
