WLC falls to MSOE in three sets

MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College volleyball team was swept by the MSOE Raiders 3-0 in a Northern Athletics Conference match on Friday night downtown at the Kern Center.

The Raiders, who defeated Wisconsin Lutheran 3-2 in a match earlier this season on September 6, swept the Warriors in three sets by scores of 26-24, 25-23, 25-23.

Freshman Rachel Johnson (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) finished with eight kills to lead Wisconsin Lutheran's offensive attack. Kailey Buenting (Gifford, Ill./Saint Thomas More) added 14 assists.

Jaclyn Sack (Granger, Ind./Michigan Lutheran) tallied 18 digs to lead three players with double-digit dig totals.

MSOE (11-9, 2-2 NAC) was paced by Allie Sowinski's match-high 15 kills.

Wisconsin Lutheran (12-8, 3-3 NAC) hosts a triangular with Alverno College and Finlandia University on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. at the Recreation Complex.
