MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
volleyball team rebounded from an earlier 3-0 loss on Friday by
defeating the Carroll University Pioneers in a five-game thriller
3-2 at the Recreation Complex.
Wisconsin Lutheran was victorious in the first two games, 25-22
and 25-17. Carroll came right back and won games three and four
25-21 and 25-16, respectively, to force a decisive fifth game. The
Warriors won game five 15-13 to salvage a split on the first night
of the 2008 Warrior Invitational.
Jenna Neuberger (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) paced WLC
with 10 kills. Leanna Miller (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) and
Kailey Buenting (Gifford, Ill./Saint Thomas More) each tallied 18
assists. Jaclyn Sack (Granger, Ind./Michigan Lutheran) posted a
team-high 29 digs.
Wisconsin Lutheran (1-1) hosts North Central University on
Saturday at 10 a.m. in the final day of the Warrior Invitational at
the Recreation Complex. WLC concludes tournament play at 2 p.m.
when it hosts Lake Forest College.
