RIPON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
volleyball tame came back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Ripon
College 3-2 in a non-conference match on Wednesday at Wyman
Gymnasium.
Wisconsin Lutheran trailed 2-0 to the Red Hawks (2-5) after
dropping the first two sets 28-26 and 25-22. On the verge of
defeat, the Warriors came from behind to win the final three sets
by scores of 28-26, 25-17 and 15-12.
Jenna Neuberger (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) led three
players who tallied double-digit kills with 18. Erika Laete
(Spokane, Wash./Evergreen Lutheran) and Rachel Johnson (Milwaukee,
Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) added 14 and 13 kills, respectively.
Kailey Buenting (Gifford, Ill./Saint Thomas More) finished with
a team-high 27 assists, while Leanna Miller (Muskego,
Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) chipped in with 23. Jaclyn Sack (Granger,
Ind./Michigan Lutheran) had 13 digs to pace WLC.
Wisconsin Lutheran (4-3) travels to Beloit College this weekend
to compete in the Buc Blast. The Warriors face Mount Mary College
on Friday at 6 p.m., followed by an 8 p.m. match with Cornell
College.
