BELOIT, Wis. - The WLC volleyball team earned
its third 3-0 sweep of the season with a 25-12, 25-17, 25-13
shutout of Mount Mary Friday night at the Buc Blast Tournament,
hosted by Beloit College.
Eleven different players recorded at least one kill with junior
Megan Sankey (Waupun, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) and freshman Kaitlin
Worthington (Cincinnati, Ohio/Finneytown) leading the way with six
kills apiece.
Setters Kailey Buenting (Gifford, Ill./Saint Thomas More) (17)
and Leanna Miller (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) (13) split the
assist duties for WLC.
Sophomore middle hitter Erika Laete (Spokane, Wash./Evergreen
Lutheran) had a solid performance with four kills, three block
assists and two solo blocks on the night.
The Warriors (5-3) hit .330 with just nine total errors in the
match to cruise past the Blue Angels.
WLC continues play at the Buc Blast Friday night against
Cornell.
