Volleyball drops non-conference match to Cornell in four

BELOIT, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Cornell Friday night at the Buc Blast Tournament, hosted by Beloit College. CC took the first two games 25-18 and 25-19 before the Warriors came back for a 25-18 win in game three. The Rams earned a 25-14 win in the fourth game to complete the victory.

Freshman Leanna Miller (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) picked up her first career double-double with 12 assists and 10 digs.

Fellow rookie Jenna Neuberger (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) was one kill shy of a double-double as she recorded a team-high nine kills and 12 digs. Dana Welch (Wauwatosa, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) led all Warriors defensively with 19 digs.

The Warriors (5-4) were hampered by 24 errors, resulting in a .071 attack percentage compared to the Rams' .323 percentage.

WLC looks to bounce back Saturday against Monmouth at the Buc Blast.
