NEW BERLIN, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran
College women's tennis team defeated the Lakeland College Muskies
9-0 in a Northern Athletics Conference match on Saturday afternoon
at the Princeton Club.
Wisconsin Lutheran won all nine flights by default over the
Muskies, who did not have the required number of players to qualify
for scoring.
Rachel Wendt (Neenah, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran), Hannah Tullberg
(Milwaukee, Wis./Luther Preparatory), Shannon Censky (Germantown,
Wis./Germantown), Cassie Dickow (La Crosse, Wis./Luther), Alycia
Spriggs (Slinger, Wis./Luther Preparatory) and Svetlana Bornschlegl
(Rochester, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran) were each awarded wins at No.
1 through No. 6 singles, respectively.
Wendt and Tullberg teamed up to win at No. 1 doubles. Censky and
Dickow won No. 2 doubles, while Spriggs and Emily Georgson
(Brookfield, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) were victorious at No. 3
doubles.
Wisconsin Lutheran (3-4, 3-1 NAC) hosts the MSOE Raiders on
Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Princeton Club.
