MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
women's tennis team was defeated by the MSOE Raiders 8-1 on
Wednesday afternoon in a Northern Athletics Conference match at the
Princeton Club.
The Raiders (3-5, 2-2 NAC) won eight of nine flights in the
match to hand the Warriors their second conference loss of the
season. Freshman Svetlana Bornschlegl (Rochester, Minn./St. Croix
Lutheran) notched WLC's lone win of the day by topping Ashley Blise
6-3, 6-7, 13-11 at No. 6 singles. Bornschlegl is a perfect 5-0 in
NAC matches at No. 6 singles this season.
Wisconsin Lutheran (3-5, 3-2 NAC) travels to River Forest, Ill.,
on Saturday for a 10 a.m. match with the Concordia University
Chicago Cougars.
