WLC Men's Soccer edged by Sabres

MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's soccer team fell to the Marian University Sabres 1-0 on Saturday afternoon in a Northern Athletics Conference match at Warrior Field.

Marian notched the lone score of the game late in the first half when Noah Styer found the back of the net at the 39:49 mark. Despite eight second half shot attempts, Wisconsin Lutheran was not able to overcome the deficit.

The Warriors attempted nine shots in the contest, compared to 11 attempted by the Sabres. Cameron Teske (Crete, Ill./Illinois Lutheran) attempted three shots in the match to lead the Warriors' offensive attack. Matt Eisold (Burlington, Wis./Burlington) finished with five saves in the game for Wisconsin Lutheran.

WLC, which suffered its second consecutive loss by just one goal, drew 291 fans for its Pack the Park promotion.

Wisconsin Lutheran (3-5, 1-2 NAC) travels to Lisle, Ill., on Tuesday for a NAC game against Benedictine University at 7 p.m.
