Warriors bounced by conference-leading Edgewood

MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's tennis team was defeated by Northern Athletics Confenence leader Edgewood College 9-0 on Sunday morning at Quann Park.

The conference-leading Eagles proved why they are the perennial power in the NAC this season, sweeping all six flights of singles play and three doubles matches en route to the win.

Freshman Svetlana Bornschlegl (Rochester, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran) suffered her first loss of the season in conference play at No. 6 singles, falling to Rebecca Chavey 6-2, 6-1.

The Warriors managed to post a match-high three points at No. 3 singles and No. 3 doubles.

Wisconsin Lutheran (4-8, 4-5 NAC) faces UW-La Crosse at 12 p.m. on Sunday in Madison, Wis., in a non-conference match.
