MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
volleyball team fell to the MSOE Raiders 3-2 in its first match of
the WLC Triangular on Saturday at the Recreation Complex.
Designated as a non-conference match, MSOE won the first set
26-24 before the Warriors came back to take the next two sets by
scores of 25-18 and 25-21, respectively. The Raiders won the fourth
set by a score of 28-26 and carried their momentum to win the
decisive fifth set, 15-9.
Kaitlyn Wiese (Rosendale, Wis./Laconia) finished with 16 kills
to lead the Warriors. Rachel Johnson (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin
Lutheran) added 13. Kailey Buenting (Gifford, Ill./Saint Thomas
More) and Leanna Miller (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) tallied
20 and 19 assists, respectively.
Jaclyn Sack (Granger, Ind./Michigan Lutheran) contributed with a
team-high 14 digs.
Wisconsin Lutheran (3-2) hosts Clarke College at 3 p.m. Saturday
in its final match of the triangular at the Recreation Complex.
