RIVER FOREST, Ill. - The Dominican University Stars erupted for six goals in the second half to break open a 0-0 halftime score and defeat Wisconsin Lutheran College 6-0 on Tuesday afternoon in a Northern Athletics Conference men's soccer game at West Campus Field.

The Warriors held conference-leading Dominican in check throughout the first half. Senior goalkeeper Matt Eisold (Burlington, Wis./Burlington) made seven first-half saves, which included turning away a DU penalty kick. WLC's one shot attempt came from Matt Birschbach (Waukesha, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran), who sailed the ball over the crossbar with 14 seconds left in the first half.

The Stars (9-1-3, 7-0-0 NAC), who have not lost a conference game (37-0-1) since the NAC's inception in 2006, showcased their strengths in the second half by netting all six of their goals. After a scoreless first eight minutes of the half, Dominican tallied its first score of the contest at 53:01. DU went on to net five more goals the remainder of the half, including its final three within a span of just over two minutes.

Michael Kapusta and Juan Saldana, who scored a pair of goals, recorded six shots each for the Stars. Aaron Romo added two assists.

Eisold secured five saves in the second half, while junior teammate Chris Lorig (Crete, Ill./Illinois Lutheran) added two saves in over nine minutes of goalie action.

Wisconsin Lutheran (3-9-2, 1-5-1 NAC) travels to the state's capital city on Saturday to play its second-to-last road game of the season against Edgewood College. Game time between the Warriors and Eagles is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Breese Stevens Field.
