LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Wisconsin Lutheran
College Warriors claimed a 3-1 non-conference match victory over
the Lawrence University Vikings on Saturday at the Lake Forest
College triangular at the Sports Center.
The Warriors claimed their second 3-1 win this season over the
Vikings, winning in four sets by scores of 25-15, 25-19, 23-25 and
25-22.
Sophomores Leanna Miller (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) and
Jenna Neuberger (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) each recorded
double-doubles to fuel the Warriors. Miller finished with 38
assists and 12 digs, while Neuberger tallied team-highs of 11 kills
and 18 digs.
Defensively, Megan Sankey (Waupun, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) also
registered 18 digs, while Robyn Brukardt (Appleton, Wis./Fox Valley
Lutheran) added 15 digs. Rachel Johnson (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin
Lutheran) had six total blocks.
Wisconsin Lutheran (17-15) closes out its 2009 regular season
Saturday afternoon with a match against triangular host Lake Forest
at 3 p.m.
