MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
volleyball team notched its third straight victory on Tuesday night
with a 3-0 sweep over the Marian University Sabres in a Northern
Athletics Conference match at the Recreation Complex.
The Warriors (10-9, 3-3 NAC), who climbed back over .500 overall
and even their mark in conference play with tonight's victory, made
quick work of the Sabres by winning in the minimum three sets by
scores of 25-22, 25-14 and 25-21.
Jenna Neuberger (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) finished the
match with 10 kills to lead all Warriors. Leanna Miller (Muskego,
Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) collected 28 assists and Robyn Brukardt
(Appleton, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) tallied a team-high 10 digs
for WLC, which had nine service aces.
Kelsey Westerveld totaled a double-double with 12 kills and 16
digs for Marian (4-16, 2-3 NAC). Michielah Navis recorded 23
assists.
Wisconsin Lutheran plays its third straight home match on Friday
night when it hosts the MSOE Raiders in a 7 p.m. NAC clash at the
Recreation Complex.
