CHICAGO - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
volleyball team defeated invite host North Park University 3-1 on
Friday to conclude its first night of action at the North Park
Invitational.
Wisconsin Lutheran claimed the first two sets by scores of 25-21
and 25-21. The Vikings won the third set 25-15 before the Warriors
took the fourth set 25-13 for the match victory.
Sophomore Alli Page (Muskego, Wis./Luther Preparatory) paced the
Warriors with nine kills, while teammate Leanna Miller (Muskego,
Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) dished out 25 assists.
Robyn Brukardt (Appleton, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) led four
players in double-digit kills with 24. Jenna Neuberger (Muskego,
Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) finished with 14, while Miller and Megan
Sankey (Waupun, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) each tallied 10.
Erika Laete (Spokane, Wash./Evergreen Lutheran) recorded five
blocks and Steph Cox (Sheboygan, Wis./Lutheran) had four service
aces.
Wisconsin Lutheran (6-4) faces North Central College (Ill.) on
Saturday at 10 a.m. at the North Park Invitational. The Cardinals
defeated the Warriors 3-0 on September 1 to open the season in
Naperville, Ill.
