WAUKESHA, Wis. - Carroll University's Craig Carlson connected on a penalty kick in the 78th minute to send the Pioneers past Wisconsin Lutheran College 1-0 on Tuesday night in a non-conference game at Schneider Stadium.

Carlson's second-half penalty kick came after the Warriors and Pioneers played a scoreless game for the first 77 minutes. Andy Prentice finished with a team-high nine shots in the match for Carroll (3-0-2), which is coming off of back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. The Pioneers recorded a total of 32 shots on the night.

Senior Ryan Powalisz (Milwaukee, Wis./Heritage Christian) attempted two of WLC's three shots in the contest. Fellow senior Matt Eisold (Burlington, Wis./Burlington) kept the Warriors in the game by making an impressive 17 saves.

Wisconsin Lutheran (2-3-1, 0-1 NAC) searches for its first conference win on Saturday when it hosts the MSOE Raiders at 3:30 p.m. at Warrior Field. The contest against the Raiders is part of WLC's Pack The Park promotion.
