RIVER FOREST, Ill. - The Concordia Chicago
Cougars defeated the Wisconsin Lutheran Warriors 7-2 in Northern
Athletics Conference women's tennis action on Saturday afternoon at
the CUC Courts.
The Cougars (3-0, 2-0 NAC) won five out of the six flights of
singles competition. Senior Hannah Tullberg (Milwaukee, Wis./Luther
Preparatory) claimed Wisconsin Lutheran's only victory in singles
action when she defeated Colleen Mullaney 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 at No. 1
singles. Tullberg and Kathryn Hendee (Rockton, Ill./Hononegah)
partnered at No. 1 doubles to top Hana Mendoza and Allison
Korenchan, 8-6.
The Warriors (0-3, 0-2) returns to the courts on Monday for a
pair of non-conference road contests. WLC faces Mt. Mary College at
9 a.m. before traveling to Beloit College for a 3:30 p.m. match
with the Buccaneers.
