MILWAUKEE - Juniors Leanna Miller (Muskego,
Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) and Jenna Neuberger (Muskego,
Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) each recorded double-doubles to lead the
Wisconsin Lutheran College volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep over the
University of Dubuque on Saturday morning at the Recreation
Complex.
Wisconsin Lutheran swept the Spartans in the minimum three games
by scores of 25-18, 25-21, 28-26. WLC trailed 24-20 in the third
game, but rallied back to win the match before it forced a fourth
game.
Neuberger paced three Warriors in double-digit kills with 13,
while also adding 23 digs. Miller tallied her second double-double
in as many days with 42 assists and 11 digs. Junior Rachel Johnson
(Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) and senior Erika Laete
(Spokane, Wash./Evergreen Lutheran) contributed with 12 and 11
kills, respectively. Laete posted a team-best .455 hitting
percentage as the Warriors hit .301 for the game. Freshman Kayla
Ridgeman (Jefferson, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) posted a team-high 24
digs.
Wisconsin Lutheran (2-1) concludes invitational play Saturday
afternoon when it faces Alverno College in a 2 p.m. non-conference
match at the Recreation Complex.
