Women's Tennis blanked by Beloit

BELOIT, Wis. - Wisconsin Lutheran concluded its first full week of the 2010 season by falling to the Beloit College Buccaneers by a final of 9-0 on Monday afternoon in non-conference action at the Strong Complex Tennis Courts.

The Warriors were handed their first shutout of the season by Beloit (3-3), which took all nine flights. WLC dropped closely contested matches at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. Kathryn Hendee (Rockton, Ill./Hononegah) came out on the short end of a 6-4, 7-5 decision to Alexandra Hinck in singles play, while Hendee and Lindsay Gauger (Rockford, Mich./Rockford) were upended 8-6 in doubles action by Ashley Miglin and Emma Beck.

Wisconsin Lutheran (2-3) continues its non-conference schedule on Tuesday when it faces Carthage College at 5 p.m. at Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha, Wis. The match was originally scheduled for September 1, but was postponed due to rain.
