WHITEWATER, Wis. - Juniors Jenna Neuberger
(Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) and Leanna Miller (Muskego,
Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) each recorded double-doubles and Rachel
Johnson (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) added 12 kills to lead
Wisconsin Lutheran to a 3-0 sweep over Elmhurst College on
Wednesday in its second and final match at the UW-Whitewater
Triangular at the Williams Center.
The Warriors (4-2) had to play a pair of extended sets, but
still managed to sweep Elmhurst (3-2) by scores of 26-24, 25-16,
26-24.
Neuberger totaled 14 digs and 10 kills, while Miller added 38
assists and 17 digs as the junior tandem tallied double-doubles.
Johnson accumulated 12 kills and senior Erika Laete (Spokane,
Wash./Evergreen Lutheran) hit a team-best .348. Defensively,
sophomore Steph Cox (Sheboygan, Wis./Lutheran) and freshman Kayla
Ridgeman (Jefferson, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) had 17 and 16 digs
each.
Wisconsin Lutheran continues non-conference play this Friday
when it battles Cardinal Stritch University and Iowa Wesleyan
College at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., respectively, at the CSU Field
House.
