MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's basketball team was defeated by the Carthage College Lady Reds 63-57 Saturday afternoon in the championship game of the Dunn's Sporting Goods Tip-Off Tournament at the Recreation Complex. The loss put an end to the Warriors' 16-game home winning streak.

Following a three-pointer from freshman Katelyn Kuehl (Fond du Lac, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) on WLC's opening possession of the game, Carthage scored nine straight points and led by as many as 11 points (20-9) in the first half. The Warriors, who trailed for the entire first half, found themselves down by just five points, 25-20, at halftime to the preseason favorites of College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.
