KENOSHA, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
women's tennis team dropped a non-conference match Thursday night
against Carthage College by a final score of 8-1 at Smeds Tennis
Center.
In doubles play, the Lady Reds (1-1) took all three matches by
scores of 8-3, 8-4 and 8-2.
Sophomore Lindsay Gauger (Rockford, Mich./Rockford) was
victorious in her #5 singles match after she defeated Abby Ludwig,
6-2, 6-2.
The remaining five single matches went to the home team in
straight sets. It was the Lady Reds second match of the day after
they hosted Lawrence University earlier in the afternoon.
The Warriors (0-2, 0-0 NAC) return home Saturday to open
Northern Athletics Conference play against last year's NAC
co-champion Benedictine University (10 a.m.) and Aurora University
(2 p.m.) at the Princeton Club in New Berlin, Wis.
