MADISON, Wis. - Edgewood College scored with 10:26 left in the second half to send the host Eagles past Wisconsin Lutheran College 2-1 on Wednesday night at Breese Stevens Field.

Keimand Isaj scored the game-winner for the Eagles (3-3-2, 1-1 NAC) off assists from Jake Owen and Evan Conrad and the Warriors could not answer in the final minutes propelling Edgewood to the win.

The opening half of the game was a defensive battle as neither team found the back of the net. Warriors goalkeeper Jon Stewart (Waukesha, Wis./South) made three saves in the first 45 minutes to keep the game scoreless.

Edgewood, which outshot WLC 19-6 for the contest, held an 11-3 edge on shots in the first half.

Owen then broke the scoreless tie 13:22 into the second half to give the Eagles a 1-0 advantage.

The Warriors quickly responded, however, as freshman Mavric Otterstatter (Fond du Lac, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) netted his first career collegiate goal to knot the score up at 1-1. Florin Maduta (Waterford, Wis./Waterford) was credited with an assist on the play.

Isaj then answered at the 79:44 mark with the game-winner. The goal was scored off of a free kick after one of Wisconsin Lutheran's 10 fouls, compared to 14 for the Eagles.

Stewart finished the night with four saves for Wisconsin Lutheran, while Otterstatter led the offensive charge with four shots.

Paul Domann recorded five shots for the Eagles and goalkeeper Kyle Koenig allowed a goal without saving a shot.

The Warriors (3-4, 0-2 NAC) return to the pitch next Tuesday when they travel to River Forest, Ill., for a matchup with five-time defending NAC champion Dominican University. Game time at West Campus Field is set for 4:30 p.m.
