Chicago 67-42 Tuesday night at the Recreation Complex. The win was
the seventh straight for WLC.
The Warriors held a 10-8 lead with 15:53 remaining in the
opening half before making their first big run of the game, an 8-0
surge that gave them an 18-8 lead with 11:33 remaining before
halftime. The Warriors' lead remained in double-digits for a
majority of the opening half as they took a 36-22 advantage into
the locker room. Junior Melissa Klemm (Germantown, Wis./Germantown)

The Warriors came out strong after halftime as they opened the
second half on a 15-4 run during the first 4:02. Five of those

as WLC took a 51-26 lead with 15:58 left in the game.
CUC cut the WLC lead to less than 20 points at 58-39 with 5:50
remaining in the game, but that was as close as the visiting
Cougars would get as Wisconsin Lutheran coasted to the 67-42
victory.
The Warriors defense was once again a big reason for the victory
as WLC held Concordia Chicago to just 24 percent (12-for-50)
shooting in the game, while forcing 21 turnovers. Wisconsin
Lutheran held its opponent under 50 points for the seventh straight
game as it also has won each of the past seven by
double-digits.
Dillon paced the Warriors' attack with 14 points on 5-for-11
shooting as WLC connected on 37.9 percent (25-for-66) of its shot
attempts for the contest. Senior Carrie Thoma (Richfield,
Wis./Hartford Union) pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds as the
Warriors controlled the glass, 51-36.
Concordia Chicago (2-7, 2-3 NAC) was led by Jessica Genke's
game-best 19 points. She also grabbed eight rebounds.
