DECATUR, Ill. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
volleyball team collected a pair of non-conference victories Friday
at the Linda Slagell Volleyball Classic hosted by Millikin.
The Warriors opened competition Friday afternoon by defeating
rival Concordia Wisconsin 3-0 in a non-conference matchup. WLC
swept CUW (3-12) by match scores of 25-21, 25-19 and 25-23.
Wisconsin Lutheran wrapped up its evening with a thrilling
five-set win over Illinois Wesleyan (8-9). The Warriors edged the
Titans by scores of 25-20, 22-25, 25-20, 21-25 and 15-7.
The Warriors (7-8) will conclude play at the Linda Slagell
Classic Saturday when they take on Benedictine (13-1) and Millikin
(12-4) at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively. The Warriors and Big
Blue are the only two teams who posted 2-0 records Friday.
