DECATUR, Ill. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College
volleyball team fell in three sets to both Benedictine and Millikin
Saturday afternoon at the Linda Slagell Classic hosted by Millikin
at the Griswold Physical Education Center.
Wisconsin Lutheran dropped its first matchup of the day against
Benedictine (14-1) 3-0 by scores of 25-23, 25-17 and 28-26.
Although both WLC and BenU are NAC opponents, the contest was a
non-conference match.
The Warriors squared off against host Millikin in their final
match of the weekend and also fell in three sets by scores of
25-21, 25-22 and 25-14. The Big Blue (14-4) was the only team in
the classic to finish with an unblemished weekend record.
Wisconsin Lutheran (7-10, 0-3 NAC) returns to Northern Athletics
Conference action Tuesday when it travels to Sheboygan, Wis., to
face Lakeland (12-4, 2-0 NAC). The match between the Warriors and
Muskies is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Moose & Dona Woltzen
Gymnasium.
