BELOIT, Wis. - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's tennis team suffered its first loss of the season Monday, falling on the road to Beloit 4-3 after the match was halted with two match still in progress due to lightning at the Strong Complex Tennis Courts.

The Warriors #2 doubles team of senior Kathryn Hendee (Rockton, Ill./Hononegah) and freshman Kendall Bonnin (Kenosha, Wis./St. Joseph) picked up an 8-4 win over Beloit's Libby Storick and Emma Beck. The host Buccaneers were victorious 8-2 and 8-3 at #1 and #3 doubles, respectively.

In singles action, senior Kaitlyn Strehlow (Hales Corners, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) and Hendee earned wins at #1 and #2 for WLC, while BC took matches at #4 and #5. With the #3 and #6 singles matches in progress, play was stopped due to lightning and the Bucs came away with the narrow 4-3 non-conference win.
