Box Score RIVER FOREST, Ill. - Second-place Dominican hit .275 for the match as the host Stars defeated the Wisconsin Lutheran College volleyball team 3-0 Friday night at the Igini Sports Forum. The Warriors fell to 7-21 overall and 3-5 in the NACC, while the Stars improved to 18-9, 7-1 in the NACC.
DU won in three sets over WLC by scores of 25-18, 25-20, and 25-12. The Stars used an 8-2 closing run in the opening set, followed by an 8-4 spurt to end the second set and pull away from the Warriors.
Erin Greenfield (Wauwatosa, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) had eight kills to lead the Warriors' attack. Alexis Hafemeister (Milwaukee, Wis./Wauwatosa West) dished out 21 assists. WLC was plagued by 25 hitting errors as it was held to just a .016 hitting percentage. Kayla Ridgeman (Jefferson, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) recorded 19 digs.
Claire Dezelski posted a double-double for Dominican with 15 kills and 17 digs. Christina Wilson was credited with 31 assists.
