Warriors Blanked By First-Place Stars

MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College volleyball team suffered a 3-0 sweep against first-place Dominican Friday night at the Recreation Complex. 

WHERE THEY STAND

• The Warriors dropped to 0-18 overall and 0-8 in the NACC, while the Stars moved to 18-8 and remained unbeaten in conference play with an 8-0 mark. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Dominican hit .484 in the first set on its way to a 25-10 win.
• The Stars posted a .219 attack percentage in the second set and claimed it by a score of 25-16.
• WLC battled to keep the third set close, but Dominican pulled away late for a 25-20 victory to clinch the match.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• The Stars hit .296 for the match and the Warriors hit .032. Dominican doubled WLC's kill total 44-22 and held a 7-1 advantage in blocks.
• Alexis Hafemeister (Milwaukee, Wis./Wauwatosa West) led the Warriors with 17 assists and added five digs. Haley Feucht (Campbellsport, Wis./Campbellsport) recorded a team-high nine kills and Megan Wierzbicki (Hartford, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) registered nine digs.
• Kendyll Todd hit .692 and led the Stars with 10 kills and Christina Wilson posted a match-high 22 assists. Olivia Szuskiewicz led all players with 15 digs.
