OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's tennis team held its second-to-last match of the spring season versus UW-Oshkosh Saturday afternoon. The Warriors suffered a 7-0 sweep at the hands of the Titans at the YMCA Tennis Center. Matches at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles were not contested.
UWO (8-11) won both matches in doubles play 8-1 and 8-0. Kayln Geddes (Bend, Ore./Luther Preparatory) and Paige Potaracke (La Crosse, Wis./Onalaska Luther) took one game from the Titans at No. 1 doubles. In singles action, the Titans came out on top at all five singles flights. Potaracke and Emily Boyd (Lebanon, Wis./Luther Preparatory) each fell 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 and No. 4 singles as WLC won two games in each of those flights, the most it took home all afternoon.
The Warriors (5-9) return to action Tuesday, April 21 in Lake Forest, Ill., for a non-conference match versus Lake Forest (13-8) at 4 p.m. It is the final scheduled match of the 2014-2015 season for WLC.
