Box Score RIVER FOREST, Ill. - Karisa Pedersen (Bonduel, Wis./Bonduel) scored a career-high 22 points and the Warriors out-scored Dominican by 15 points in the third quarter as the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's basketball team defeated the Stars 72-49 on Saturday afternoon at the Igini Sports Forum.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- WLC and DU kept it close in the opening quarter, with the largest lead coming at 11-5 for WLC. After beating the horn with a layup, the Stars cut the Warriors' lead to only four at 11-7.
- Dominican kept the game within reach in the second quarter and held a brief 18-16 lead with 3:38 left in the half. A layup at the buzzer from Maddy Elrod (Conifer, Colo./Conifer) gave the Warriors a 28-23 lead at the break.
- In the opening 20 minutes of play, the Warriors shot 44 percent (11-for-25) from the field, compared to Dominican's 32 percent (9-for--28).
- WLC broke the game open in the third quarter, out-scoring the Stars 26-11. Wisconsin Lutheran started the half on a quick 12-0 run for a 40-23 lead. The Warriors then extended their lead to as much as 21 with 1:22 left in the quarter. WLC shot a blazing 58.8 percent from the floor in the third quarter.
- The Warriors built their lead up to a game-high 27 points at 64-37 with 6:55 to play in the final frame. WLC's lead never slipped below 22 points from that point on.

- Pedersen led the Warriors with a career-high 22 points in the contest on 8-for-11 shooting including six three-pointers.
- Elrod added 13 points off the bench and Jen Dowden (Bonduel, Wis./Bonduel) contributed 10 points and grabbed seven boards.
- Taylor Bahr (Racine, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) also grabbed seven rebounds, while Carson added six assists.
- The Warriors shot a season-high 52.6 percent from three-point range and tied a season-high by making 10 three's.
- Jasmyn Hardin scored 19 points to lead the Stars to go along with 10 rebounds.
- The Warriors improved their all-time record against the Stars to a perfect 25-0.
