Box Score MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – Maddy Elrod (Conifer, Colo./Conifer) and Kelly Tramburg (Fall River, Wis./Fall River) scored a team-high 13 points each as the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's basketball team won its fourth straight conference game, defeating Alverno 63-46 on Thursday night inside Reiman Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Warriors rattled off 11 straight points to lead the hosts 17-7 with 1:32 remaining in the opening quarter. WLC took a 22-14 lead after one quarter of play after Tramburg drained a three-pointer at the buzzer. Jen Dowden (Bonduel, Wis./Bonduel) scored eight points in the period.
- Wisconsin Lutheran shot an even 40.0 percent (6-for-15) in the second quarter and closed the opening half with another buzzer-beating jumper from the corner from Sammy Hagenow (Sussex, Wis./Hamilton) to take a 12-point lead into the half, 38-26.
- The Warriors' defense held the Inferno to just six points in the third quarter. Coreana Carson (Milwaukee, Wis./HOPE Christian) led the Warriors with five points in the frame, as WLC carried a 50-32 lead going into the fourth.
- Wisconsin Lutheran held the Inferno scoreless for over four minutes in the fourth quarter and held a game-high 27-point lead with 3:29 left, but Alverno out-scored WLC 14-13 in the final quarter of action despite WLC out-shooting the hosts 40.0 percent to 29.4 percent.

- Elrod finished the game a rebound shy of a double-double as she grabbed nine boards to go along with her 13 points. Tramburg set a new season high in points with 13 off the bench and added eight rebounds. Dowden finished with 11 points despite playing just 12 minutes.
- The Warriors shot an even 41.5 percent (27-for-65) for the game. The defense forced 22 Inferno turnovers, which they converted into 23 points, and held the hosts to 32.0 percent (16-for-50) from the floor.
- WLC, which attempted a season-low nine free throws, out-scored Alverno 36-22 on points in the paint, 26-4 in bench points, and 15-5 in second-chance points.
- Mackenzie Mathies led Alverno with 15 points and Gabby Hood added 12.
