First-Place Falcons Snap Warriors' Winning Streak

MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's tennis team saw its five-match winning streak come to an end Friday night, as it fell to first place and conference unbeaten Concordia Wisconsin inside Paley Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Wisconsin Lutheran dropped all three doubles contests to begin the match. The Warriors' closest battle came at No. 3 where Reebee Ratkowski (Waterford, Wis.) and Taylor Bergmann (Slinger, Wis.) fell 8-4.
  • WLC was held to no more than two points in four of six flights, as CUW won all six singles matches in straight sets.

FOR THE FOES

  • The Falcons extended their conference winning streak to 27 matches, winning their fifth straight over the Warriors.

UP NEXT

  • The Warriors wrap-up their conference schedule and fall season tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Kohler for a 2:00 p.m. matchup with Lakeland (4-8, 4-3 NACC) at the Sports Core. WLC has won three straight over LU, including a 7-2 decision a season ago. Wisconsin Lutheran has solidified at least the fourth seed in the spring NACC Tournament
