(WLCSports.com) – Andrew Bruggink (Brookfield, Wis.) scored a career-high 26 points but the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's basketball team fell short in its first conference road game of the season, falling to Concordia Wisconsin 93-78 inside the R. John Buuck Fieldhouse Saturday afternoon.

- Bruggink started off hot as he scored five of the first 10 points as the Warriors held an early 10-7 lead with 17:07 remaining in the first half.
- The Falcons held WLC scoreless for the next seven minutes as CUW jumped out to a 22-10 advantage halfway through the first half.
- Mack Knueppel (Jackson, Wis.) connected on a trio of free throws to trim the deficit to 31-27 with 6:34 left in the first half.
- Concordia Wisconsin took a 42-33 lead with 1:50 left before halftime but WLC held them scoreless for the remainder of the half and trailed 42-38 at the break.
- The Warriors scored just two points in a six-minute window as CUW took a 60-49 lead with 12:39 left in regulation.
- WLC trimmed the deficit to under double-digits with 5:25 left as the Falcons led 74-65.
- A pair of free throws from Collin Kennedy (Holmen, Wis.) with 3:25 left in the game cut the Falcon lead to 81-73.
- Concordia Wisconsin never let the deficit get any closer as it held onto the conference victory by a final of 93-78.
- Bruggink led all scorers with a career-high 26 points, while adding four rebounds and five assists.
- Knueppel tallied 17 points, six assists, and five rebounds and Caleb Goldstein (Fond du Lac, Wis.) was the third Warrior to reach double figures with 10 points.
- Kennedy collected a game-high 10 rebounds.
- The Warriors were held to a season-low 39.4 percent (26-of-66) shooting.
- The Green and White did convert all 14 of their free throw attemps and made a season-high 12 three-pointers.
- WLC also held a 35-29 advantage on the glass.
- Jake Jurss scored 22 points for the Falcons and Andrew Fratzke added 21.
- Josh Hau poured in 18 points.
- Concordia Wisconsin shot 58.6 percent (34-of-58) from the floor and forced 16 turnovers.
