Box Score MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – Despite a late comeback attempt from the visiting Aurora Spartans, the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's basketball team won 73-67 behind a career-high tying 21 points from senior Kelly Tramburg (Fall River, Wis.) Saturday afternoon inside the Recreation Complex. It was the Warriors' fourth straight win and ninth straight over the Spartans.

- Both offenses found success in the opening minutes of the game, as the teams traded buckets on multiple possessions. Aurora held a three-point edge at 13-10 with 5:28 left in the first quarter before the Warriors defense forced a turnover.
- Sophomore Ally Gough (Horicon, Wis.) came off the bench midway through the quarter and knocked down a pair of threes to give WLC a 17-15 lead. The Spartans tied the game at 19-19 with under 0:30 seconds to play in the opening frame before Kelly Tramburg connected on a three to give the Warriors a 22-19 lead after one.
- Up 28-24 early in the second quarter, Wisconsin Lutheran used a 7-0 run to push the lead up to 11. Kelly Tramburg scored five points over that stretch, including the three that started the run. Gough knocked down another three with a couple minutes left in the half and the Warriors held a 40-29 lead at the break.
- Sophomore Jenna Mace (Wisconsin Dells, Wis.) and junior Amanda Brug (Sturtevant, Wis.) opened the second half with another 7-0 run for the home team that pushed the lead up to 18 at 47-29. Senior Tierney Woodward (Poynette, Wis.) hit threes on back-to-back possessions to give the Warriors their largest lead of the day at 53-33 with 5:23 on the clock. Aurora fought to close the gap, using a 7-0 run to come within 59-45 after three quarters.
- The Warriors connected on six free throws and a layup to hold a 69-54 lead with 3:33 left in the final quarter. The Spartans didn't go away though and used an 11-0 run to cut the lead down to just four with 0:59 seconds remaining. Kelly Tramburg hit four critical free throws as WLC closed out the Spartans 73-67.
- Kelly Tramburg recorded a game- and career-high tying 21 points on 6-of-9 shooting. She converted 7-of-8 attempts from the free throw line. Mace and Brug added 14 and 10 respectively, while Gough connected on a trio of threes and scored 11 off the bench.
- Wisconsin Lutheran shot 38.7 percent (24-of-62) from the floor and 34.5 percent (10-of-29) from beyond the arc. It marked the fourth straight game with 10 three-point makes. The Warriors connected on 75 percent (15-of-20) of their free throw tries, the second-most makes this season.
- Defensively, WLC forced 24 Spartans turnovers, which resulted in 27 points. Wisconsin Lutheran corralled nine steals and has recorded a total of 53 over its four-game winning streak.
- Brug collected a team-high eight rebounds, including five on the offensive glass. Kelly Tramburg and Mace led the team with four assists apiece.
- Aurora shot 39.2 percent (20-of-51) from the floor and was held in check from three, shooting just 18.2 percent (2-of-11). The Spartans found ways to get the line often throughout the game, connecting on 25-of-34 attempts for 73.5 percent.
- Julie Galauner finished with a team-high 18 points while Meija Rabi added 14 for the Spartans. Allie Reichert finished one board shy of a double-double, recording 10 points and nine rebounds while also adding a team-high four assists.
- The Spartans out-rebounded the Warriors 43-30 and were able to get the ball down low, finishing with 32 points in the paint compared to WLC's 18.
