(WLCSports.com) – The visiting Wisconsin Lutheran College women's basketball team surrendered a 13-point third-quarter lead and was held to 30.5 percent shooting, as host Edgewood came back to narrowly edge the Warriors 45-43 on Saturday afternoon in the regular season finale for both teams inside the Todd Wehr Edgedome. The third-seeded Warriors will open NACC Tournament play next week when they host sixth-seeded Aurora on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

- The Warriors stormed out to an 11-2 lead over the Eagles with exactly 3:00 minutes left in the first quarter, forcing a timeout by the hosts. Sophomore Morgan Tramburg (Fall River, Wis.) had four points and sophomore Ally Gough (Horicon, Wis.) knocked down a three during the first-quarter run. WLC finished the opening quarter with a 15-5 lead after shooting over 43 percent (7-for-16) in the first period. Edgewood was held to a game-low 15 percent on 2-for-13 shooting in the first 10 minutes.
- Wisconsin Lutheran scored the first two points of the second quarter to take its largest lead yet of 12 points on a layup by senior Kelly Tramburg (Fall River, Wis.). The Green and White's lead never dipped below six points in the period and a three from Gough as time expired sent the Warriors into halftime holding a 10-point lead at 26-16.
- Senior Tierney Woodward (Poynette, Wis.) opened the second-half scoring with a three to give WLC a game-high 13-point lead with 8:17 left in the third quarter. EC came within seven points at 29-22, but four straight points from junior Amanda Brug (Sturtevant, Wis.) brought the margin back up to double-digits. The Eagles netted the final five points of the period to bring the score to 36-31 through three quarters.
- Wisconsin Lutheran held a pair of five-point leads in the first four minutes of the fourth quarter after Edgewood had closed within two. Gough gave the Green and White a 41-36 lead with her third three of the game with 6:08 left. However, the Warriors were held scoreless for the next 5:03 and EC took its first lead of the game at 42-41 with 3:38 remaining. Trailing by four at 45-41, Brug cut the deficit to two with 1:05 left on a nice finish in the paint. WLC forced a turnover on the next possession but had an open look at a three blocked with 25 seconds left. Wisconsin Lutheran had another opportunity after forcing a turnover, but sophomore Jenna Mace's (Wisconsin Dells, Wis.) jumper would not go with 10 seconds on the clock. The Green and White were forced to foul, but the Eagles missed both free throws and the Warriors immediately called timeout with five seconds left. Gough's corner three off the sideline inbound sailed long as time expired and Edgewood came away with the two-point win.
- Gough was the only Warrior to reach double figures as she finished with 11 points. Kelly Tramburg and Woodward had eight points each and Morgan Tramburg added five points, six assists, and eight rebounds.
- WLC concluded the game shooting 30.5 percent (18-for-59), 27.8 percent (5-for-18) from three, and 22.2 percent (2-for-9) from the free throw line.
- Wisconsin Lutheran out-scored Edgewood 12-6 in points off turnovers.
- Alyssa Lemirande scored 16 points and Mia Edwards added 13 for the Eagles, who shot just 26.6 percent (17-for-64) for the game. EC out-rebounded WLC 55-40 and held a 13-3 advantage in second chance points.
