Box Score MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – Junior Kalies Birkholz (Watertown, Wis.) scored a game-high 19 points and freshman Kaitlyn Shadoski (Janesville, Wis.) added 18 as the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's basketball team used a big fourth quarter to get past MSOE 58-48 on Saturday night inside the Recreation Complex. With the win, the Warriors extended their winning streak to 23 straight over the Raiders.

- The Warriors and Raiders played a back-and-forth opening quarter as the lead changed hands five times and neither team saw the lead grow above three points. Birkholz gave WLC a 7-4 lead with her second three of the quarter at the 5:31 mark and Shadoski closed out the opening stanza with a last-second triple to give the hosts a 14-13 lead after one period of play.
- Wisconsin Lutheran opened the second quarter with three-pointers again from Shadoski and Birkholz as its lead was lifted to seven points with 7:31 left.
- MSOE answered with a 7-0 scoring run to tie the game at 20 apiece, before the Warriors responded with six unanswered for a six-point lead with 2:51 on the clock. The Raiders netted the final four points of the first half as the halftime score stood 26-24 in favor of the Green and White.
- In a third quarter that featured four lead changes and three ties, WLC withstood just a 2-for-6 shooting performance to hold onto a slim advantage. Wisconsin Lutheran was able to get to the charity stripe often in the quarter, making 9 of its 10 attempts. Birkholz knocked down the final freebies of the quarter with just over 30 seconds left as the hosts went into the final quarter ahead 41-40.
- MSOE netted the first five points of the fourth quarter to take its biggest lead of the game and force the Warriors to call timeout.
- WLC responded with six straight points, including another Shadoski three, to jump back in front 47-44 with 4:25 to play.
- The Raiders closed within a point with their next bucket, but Shadoski answered again with her fourth triple of the game with just under two minutes to play to give the hosts a four-point lead.
- The visitors came no closer than four points the rest of the way as the Warriors hit four free throws down the stretch to seal the victory.
- Birkholz led all scorers with 19 points on 5-for-7 from three-point range. The junior guard was one point shy of matching her career high from a season ago. Shadoski followed with 18 points and four triples.
- Freshman Sam Leisemann (Fall River, Wis.) tied a game-high with 11 rebounds for her second straight double-digit rebound performance. Senior Amanda Brug (Sturtevant, Wis.) added nine rebounds as the Warriors cleaned up the glass 43-32 over the Raiders.
- WLC overcame just 31.9 percent shooting by going 19-of-24 from the charity stripe.
- Wisconsin Lutheran won its ninth straight home game dating back to January 18 of last season.
- Britta Grayvold was the lone Raider to reach double figures with 10 points.
- MSOE struggled from the floor, going 17-for-58 overall including 3-for-19 from long distance.
