Box Score WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's soccer team took non-conference opponent UW-Whitewater to the limit on Friday night, before the Warhawks edged the Warriors 2-1 in double overtime at Warriors Soccer Field.

- Freshman goalkeeper Bryce Beckley (Waterford, Wis.) and the Warriors shut down the Warhawks' attack for the majority of the opening half.
- UWW cracked the scoring column first in the 32nd minute for a 1-0 lead which stood through halftime. Beckley made a trio of saves in the first half for WLC.
- Wisconsin Lutheran's first shot on frame in the match was a successful one, as senior Jason Cano (Delavan, Wis.) notched his 10th goal of the season to even the match at 1-1 in the 66th minute. Senior Trent Biesterfeld (Crete, Ill.) provided the assist on the equalizer.
- Cano nearly gave the hosts the lead on two different occasions later in the half. His rocket in the 74th minute was tipped and sailed just high over the bar, while his chance in the 85th minute was saved to the bottom right of the post.
- UW-Whitewater had a chance to go ahead on an 86th-minute penalty kick, but Beckley made a diving save to his left to keep the contest even.
- Neither team put a shot on target in the first overtime period, and the Warhawks won the contest with a score in the 103rd minute of the second overtime.
- Cano collected five of the Warriors' eight shots for the game, including three on frame.
- Beckley tied a season-high by making nine saves.
