Warriors Blanked By Spartans In Monday #NACCtion

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's soccer team suffered a 2-0 shutout loss to the Aurora Spartans on Monday night at Warriors Soccer Field. The game was a reschedule from its original date of October 9.

• Final Score: Aurora 2, Wisconsin Lutheran 0
• Records: Wisconsin Lutheran (5-10-0, 3-6-0 NACC), Aurora (6-5-3, 4-3-2 NACC)
• Location: Warriors Soccer Field, Wauwatosa, Wis.

• The visiting Spartans had three shots on target through the first 10 minutes of the first half, but each were saved by Warriors freshman goalkeeper Bryce Beckley (Waterford, Wis.).
• AU struck for the first goal of the game shortly after in the 13th minute for a 1-0 lead. That score stood through the rest of the opening 45 minutes as Beckley made two additional saves. Sophomore Ben Meaux (Franklin, Wis.) had WLC's only shot on goal of the first half in the 41st minute.
• The match remained 1-0 until the 61st minute when a Wisconsin Lutheran foul inside the box led to a successful Aurora penalty kick.
• Freshman Roberto Zuniga (Milwaukee, Wis.) and junior Josh Sepic (Mukwonago, Wis.) had the Warriors' two shots on goal in the second half, but the final result read 2-0.
• WLC finished with seven shots in the match, led by two from Zuniga. Beckley made eight saves in the contest.

• The Warriors travel to Lisle, Illinois on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. NACC matchup with Benedictine (9-3-2, 6-2-1 NACC). Live coverage links will be available for the contest at WLCSports.com.
