Women's Volleyball Falls To NACC-Leading Falcons

MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's volleyball team suffered its first sweep at home of the season on Tuesday night, falling in three sets to NACC foe and conference leader Concordia Wisconsin inside the Time of Grace Center.

• Final Score: Concordia Wisconsin 3, Wisconsin Lutheran 0 (25-9, 25-20, 25-19)
• Records: Wisconsin Lutheran (8-12, 6-4 NACC), Concordia Wisconsin (18-3, 9-1 NACC)
• Location: Recreation Complex, Milwaukee, Wis.

• The Warriors tied the score twice early on in the first set, but an 8-1 Falcons scoring run gave them a 12-4 lead. WLC would get no closer than seven points as CUW scored the final four points of the set for a 25-9 win.
• Wisconsin Lutheran traded points with Concordia Wisconsin for the start of the second set. The Falcons held a 15-9 lead, but the Warriors closed to within 18-17 following a kill from senior Carly Heuer (Germantown, Wis.). CUW scored five of the next six points and went on to win set two 25-20.
• A 5-0 scoring run in the third set sent Concordia Wisconsin out to a 10-4 advantage. The Warriors closed the gap to 14-12 after a service ace from freshman Kylee Gnabasik (Jefferson, Wis.). The visitors scored the next three points and went away with a 25-19 win.
• Junior Jenna Charron (Appleton, Wis.) led WLC with nine kills and junior Emily Sarles (Lombard, Ill.) distributed a match-high 28 assists.
• Junior Ally Goba (Mukwonago, Wis.) led the team with 10 digs and junior Rebecca Chavez (Chicago, Ill.) had three block assists.
