Box Score MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's volleyball team battled NACC-leading Aurora on Saturday for Homecoming and Alumni Day. The Warriors dropped a tough four-set match to the Spartans despite junior Jenna Charron's (Appleton, Wis.) double-double of 20 kills and 10 digs and junior Ally Goba (Mukwonago, Wis.) surpassing 1,000 digs for her career.

- The beginning of the first set was back-and-forth with the score deadlocked at 9-9. The Spartans then used an 8-1 scoring run to jump out to a 17-10 lead over the Warriors. AU went on to win the opening set by a score of 25-14.
- WLC held its largest lead of the second set at 6-3, but more back-and-forth play continued as there were 13 ties and five lead changes. Aurora's lead was no more than two points in the set but they were able to pull away from a tie score of 24-24 with the final two set points for a 26-24 win.
- Similar to the first two sets, the third set was another nailbiter consisting of a match-high 17 ties and seven lead changes. The Spartans held the advantage at 23-21, but Wisconsin Lutheran rallied to score the final four points to win the set 25-23.
- The Warriors held a 4-2 lead early in the fourth set, but AU netted five straight points to take a lead that they would never relinquish. The visitors' lead grew to as many as nine as they won the set 25-16 after hitting a match-best .406 in the fourth set.
- Charron led all players with 20 kills to go along with 10 digs for a double-double. Junior Emily Sarles (Lombard, Ill.) recorded 41 assists and seven digs.
- Senior Carly Heuer (Germantown, Wis.) added 13 kills and junior Rebecca Chavez (Chicago, Ill.) chipped in with eight kills and two block assists.
- Goba (Mukwonago, Wis.) contributed 16 digs to surpass 1,000 for her career. Freshman Emma Baacke (Waukesha, Wis.) collected 12 digs. Freshman Amahra Matthai (Plover, Wis.) posted seven block assists.
