(WLCSports.com) – Senior Jenna Mace (Wisconsin Dells, Wis.) scored a game-high 20 points and sophomore Sam Leisemann (Fall River, Wis.) added 19 points and eight rebounds, as the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's basketball team erased a seven-point second-quarter deficit for a 66-56 non-conference win over 22nd-ranked Millikin on Saturday afternoon inside the Gerald Ratner Athletics Center. The win marks the Warriors' fourth over a top 25 opponent in the last five seasons.

- The Warriors jumped out to an early 7-2 lead over the Big Blue at the 7:46 mark of the first quarter behind buckets from Leisemann, Mace, and senior Abby Vavra (Mukwonago, Wis.).
- Millikin answered with a 9-0 scoring run and later scored the final five points of the opening quarter for a 20-14 lead after one. MU tied a game-high by shooting 60 percent in the first 10 minutes.
- The two teams traded points through the first four minutes of the second quarter, but the Big Blue took their biggest lead of seven points at 24-17.
- WLC closed to within two points after a three from senior Ally Gough (Horicon, Wis.), but Millikin maintained its lead heading into halftime, 31-26.
- Wisconsin Lutheran traded baskets with the Big Blue for the first four minutes of the third quarter. Trailing 42-38 with four minutes left, the Green and White closed the period on an 11-2 run. Freshman Mack Hogenson (Neenah, Wis.) drained a three as time expired to give the Warriors a 49-44 lead. The visitors shot 60 percent and scored 23 points in the period.
- WLC built a nine-point advantage at 55-46 three-and-a-half minutes into the final frame and never lost its lead. Ahead 57-55 with 3:43 left on the clock, Wisconsin Lutheran closed out the contest on a 9-1 run. A personal 5-0 run from Mace and four free throws from sophomore Meggie Scott (Yorkville, Ill.) sealed the win for the Green and White.
- Mace led all scorers with 20 points, while Leisemann had 19 points on 8-for-9 shooting and eight rebounds. Scott finished with nine points off the bench.
